The NASCAR community was left in shock and disbelief after a physical altercation between Kyle Busch, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Tino Pattigno III during a qualifying session at Daytona International Speedway. As the cars entered the trioval, Stenhouse’s car appeared to drift up into Busch’s lane, making contact with his rear bumper. Busch retaliated by swerving into Stenhouse’s car, causing him to lose control and spin out. Enraged, Stenhouse exited his car and confronted Busch.
Pattigno III, a crew member for Stenhouse’s team, then intervened and threw a punch at Busch. Busch responded by shoving Pattigno to the ground. The incident escalated quickly, prompting NASCAR officials to intervene and separate the drivers and crew members.
